Jamise Wilson Obituary

Jamise Bianca Wilson, born on July 24, 1977, in Newport News, Virginia, led a life marked by service, curiosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She later settled in Prince George, Virginia with her family, where she attended Prince George High School. During her time there, she participated in the band and engaged in various activities that showcased her energy and enthusiasm for learning.

After graduating, Jamise attended Norfolk State University but felt a higher calling and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1996. She proudly served as an Intelligence Analyst (Linguist) and achieved the rank of E-5. Her military journey took her to Texas, California, and Maryland, and her commitment to service continued when she joined the Air Force Reserves after completing her active duty. Following her active-duty tenure, she supported several government projects as a Management Analyst.

Education was a lifelong pursuit for Jamise. She earned an Associate's degree from the Community College of the Air Force. She continued to challenge herself academically by earning another Associate's degree and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, University College. Her dedication culminated in a Master of Science in Strategic Communications, reflecting her drive, discipline, and passion for learning.

Above all, Jamise was a devoted mother. Her life revolved around her two sons and daughter, as she dedicated her time to driving them to practices, performances, meetings, and events. She served as a Cub Scout master, band booster, PTA parent, AAU basketball team mom, and an enthusiastic cheerleader. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children.

Jamise's passions extended beyond her family. She worked as a model for many years and was an early internet radio host, engaging audiences long before podcasting became mainstream. She also volunteered to bring comfort to nursing home residents by creating thoughtful gift baskets. She demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by launching several businesses. Her creativity, generosity, and determination touched countless lives.

Jamise is survived by her children, Jalon Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, and Janelle Wilson, all of Suffolk, VA; her father, Ebbie (Sheronda) Samuel of Williamsburg, VA; her mother, Bonita (Al) Claiborne of Prince George, VA; her brother, Bryan Samuel of Petersburg, VA; and a large circle of family and friends who will deeply miss her light, humor, and love.

Her legacy lives on in the many people she inspired, the communities she served, and the children she cherished above all else.
